Johannesburg: Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) Supervisor

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all TMM maintenance and repair activities. Ensure optimal equipment availability to support production targets. Enforce compliance with safety regulations, mining legislation, and company procedures. Plan and oversee preventative and breakdown maintenance schedules. Allocate tasks and manage performance of artisans, technicians, and assistants. Conduct inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and adherence to OEM standards. Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities. Liaise with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime. Manage spares, tools, and maintenance resources effectively. Investigate breakdowns, incidents, and equipment failures, implementing corrective actions. Maintain accurate records, reports, and maintenance documentation. Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings. Ensure compliance with PPE and housekeeping standards. Support training and development of maintenance team members. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric). Trade Certificate (Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic). Foreman Certificate of Competency (advantageous or required depending on operation). Minimum 58 years experience in TMM maintenance within a mining environment. At least 23 years experience in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong knowledge of mining legislation (MHSA) and safety standards. Computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance systems). About the Role

The Johannesburg-based Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) Supervisor will oversee all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring optimal equipment availability to support production targets while maintaining a safe working environment.
