About the Role

We are currently partnering with a well-established, design-led property management company offering premium short-term rental accommodation in Cape Town, to recruit an experienced Property General Manager. This is a great opportunity to be the on-site leader, setting the tone for the guest experience, owner relationships, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full day-to-day general management of a premium serviced apartment building in Cape Town’s CBD
  • Investor and owner partner relationship management, including onboarding new clients into the management portfolio
  • Oversight of all short-term letting operations; reservations, guest check-ins/check-outs, platform management, and occupancy optimisation
  • Leading and managing the on-site team: Concierge and Housekeeping staff
  • Maintaining immaculate presentation standards across all units and communal spaces; pool deck, lobbies, and shared facilities
  • Proactive maintenance coordination, ensuring every unit is guest-ready, every fault is logged and resolved promptly
  • Monthly owner reporting — occupancy, revenue performance, maintenance activity, and expense tracking
  • Guest and investor communication — handling enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and urgency
  • Upholding brand standards and service philosophy across every touchpoint

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in property management, serviced apartments, or short-term letting operations — large-scale or multi-unit experience is essential
  • At least 3 years in a General Manager or senior management role with full operational accountability
  • Demonstrated experience managing investor/owner client relationships and onboarding new clients into a management portfolio
