Are you a highly skilled transfer specialist with deep experience across Life and LISP platforms? A leading investment platform is looking for a Platform Transfer Specialist III to join its Bryanston-based operations team on a permanent basis.
This senior-level role is ideal for someone who is well-versed in Section 14, Section 50, and discretionary transfers, enjoys process ownership, and thrives in a detail-driven, client-focused operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
Execution of Transfer Activities
-
Facilitate inward and outward transfers across Life and LISP platforms
-
Handle Section 14, Section 50, and discretionary transfer processes in line with FAIS, FICA, and internal compliance standards
-
Investigate discrepancies, resolve unmatched transactions, and perform reconciliations
-
Manage documentation including mandates, transfer forms, confirmations, and supporting docs
-
Use internal systems such as Wealth Connect CRM, Finswitch, and TAU to track transfer workflow and ensure timely processing
-
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
Client & Adviser Support
-
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex transfer queries
-
Provide clear, accurate guidance to clients, advisers, and third-party providers
-
Deliver professional responses across email, calls, and meetings
-
Ensure compliance through coaching and support throughout the transfer lifecycle
System & Data Management
-
Maintain detailed records of transfer activities
-
Generate operational reports to monitor SLAs, resolve bottlenecks, and enhance performance
-
Assist in testing and improving transfer system features and workflows
Stakeholder Engagement
-
Work closely with internal teams including Client Services, Compliance, Legal, and adviser support teams
-
Build relationships with external platforms, asset managers, and insurers
-
Support knowledge sharing and training sessions related to transfer operations and product updates
Service Delivery & Risk Control
-
Track performance against SLAs and escalate risks proactively
-
Help resolve crises involving processing delays or reputational risks
-
Continuously improve transfer processes based on feedback and audit outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications
-
Bachelors Degree (NQF 7) in Finance, Investment Management, or Business Administration
-
68 years experience in the LISP or investment platform environment
-
Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in transfer processing, ideally across both Life and LISP products
-
Deep understanding of Sectional Transfers, transfer documentation, and regulatory compliance
-
Proficiency with Finswitch, CRM tools, and investment admin systems
