Job Summary

Purpose of Position: To provide efficient day-to-day support for procurement and logistics department. Duties & Responsibility: Receives inbound deliveries from customers, suppliers, and Courier / Freight Companies, Checks if the delivered goods match with the invoice and Purchase Order. Inspects the shipments if there is no sign of damage on the packaging prior to signing the delivery note / invoice. Mark the received goods to ensure that FIFO principle is maintained. Amend Purchase order (if necessary) and then perform Goods receipt process on SAP (MIGO) Pack the goods into the relevant Storage Locations / bins. Responsible for picking the goods and dispatch them for delivery to customers. Operates the warehouse forklift and other materials moving equipment. Share Proof of deliveries and related invoices with Logistics Team Lead for further handling. Prepares and issue delivery notes and hand-out documents to be signed by the Logistics Team Lead for all stock items to be delivered. Prepares, prints, and attached shipment labels as per Company standards. Performs stock transfers in-and-out and between storage locations when necessary. Runs weekly stock reports such as GR-IR, obsolete stock, dead stock for reporting submission Manages demo and trial stock Responsible for the general housekeeping of the Stores. Responsible for all packing and preparation of shipments (local and exports) Maintain an up-to-date record of audit trails for the warehouse (Picking Slips, Delivery Notes, etc) Filing / management of records, archiving and storage requirements. Regular Stock take of RMA inventory as required Participation in Audit, Stocktaking and assist Shared Services. Compliance with The Company Mining Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, Participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of others Submissions of monthly stock reports Other duties as required from time to time. Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (in particular, MS Word and Excel) Sound working knowledge of general inventory program applications Sound working knowledge of SAGE / SAP ERP purchase order module is desirable, although training will be available on The Company`s internal systems Can do attitude Willingness to go the extra mile for customers (internal and external) High level of personal drive and motivation High level of attention to detail Strong time management and prioritization skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment Ability to set day to day priorities within overall priority listing Strong problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills Must possess a valid driver`s license. Qualifications and experience: Grade 12 Further tertiary qualification in Logistics will be advantageous. 2 -3 years experience in warehousing and storekeeping SAP Materials Management Module essential Major Challenges / Problem Solving: Dealing with conflicting priorities Decisions Expected: Own Authority Setting of day-to-day priorities within overall priority listing Make recommendations for service delivery improvements where necessary Expenditure for parts and components within allowable limits Creating build orders for assembly team Advising Business Unit Manager of business risk areas as they are identified Referred to Higher Authority: Approval for expenditure over allowable limits Any decision that will adversely affect budget Clarification of business priorities or urgent escalations Working Relationships: Most Frequent Contacts Purpose Logistics Manager Direction and supervision; setting of priorities; training and development. Cross-skilling in production areas and processes Logistics Team Lead Supervision and regular guidance Assemblers Provision of supply requirements in a timely manner HW Technical & RMA Team Liaise regarding new products and assembly techniques
