About the Role
The Johannesburg Manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Welding Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing welding operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining plant equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, production experience, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain plant, equipment, and manufacturing processes
- Coordinate across departments to ensure smooth production flow
- Handle non-conformance, corrective actions, and quality documentation
- Supervise staff, monitor performance, and implement basic disciplinary processes
- Implement ISO 3834 and welding quality standards
- Optimize production control and throughput planning
Requirements
- Matric SAIW or IIW Level 1 Welding Inspector Diploma (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or welding production environment
- Strong understanding of ISO 3834 and welding quality standards
- Experience in production control, throughput planning, and process optimisation
- Ability to handle non-conformance, corrective actions, and quality documentation
