About the Role
Network Contracting is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team in Johannesburg West. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining equipment at client sites, while providing technical support and training where required. You will also be expected to complete service reports, ensure compliance with safety standards, and respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain equipment at client sites
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Provide technical support and training to clients where required
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field)
- Trade Test qualification advantageous
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a field service or similar technical role
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license (essential)
- Willingness to travel locally and work after hours when required
