Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Perform full balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare month-end journals and general ledger entries
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Handle consolidations across entities
Treasury & Cashflow Management
- Daily cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Bank and petty cash reconciliations
- Prepare and load EFT payments
- Manage account and expense payments
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory returns
- Liaise with revenue authorities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Audit & Governance
- Prepare audit working papers
- Liaise with external auditors and attend to audit queries
- Assist with internal controls and financial monitoring
Fixed Assets & Inventory
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Conduct stock counts and system checks (including warehouse oversight)
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure control effectiveness
Operational Support
- Process and reconcile creditor invoices
- Reconcile intercompany loan accounts
- Support payroll function
- Liaise with cross-border entities where applicable
Requirements
- BCom / BCom Honours
- Completed Articles
- 5–8 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper / Financial Accountant
- Experience handling multiple entities and multiple currencies
- Strong reconciliation and reporting expertise
- Experience with ERP systems (Accpac advantageous)
- Solid Excel capability
