About the Role
A well-established organisation in the agricultural sector is seeking a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function (FFF) within a dynamic and growing environment based in Ladybrand. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a stable, community-driven industry where strong financial control and accurate reporting are key to supporting business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full finance function
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and tax regulations
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews
- Handling VAT, tax submissions, and statutory compliance
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Supporting audit processes and financial governance
Requirements
- BCom Accounting or related qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in a financial accounting role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
- Experience managing the full finance function
- Exposure to the agricultural sector advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
