About the Role
Seize this opportunity to join Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a values-driven Company that cares for its people unconditionally. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited, and our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring optimum availability and reliability of equipment in support of effective and continuously improved mine operations.
- Assist and execute maintenance on mining equipment including modifications and repairs.
- Conduct mini risk assessment in own area of work and within span of control.
- Ensure own work area is clean at all times.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are cleaned after use and stored in Storeroom.
- Ensure that personal/artisans tools are complete and in safe working condition.
- Work independently and under the supervision of the artisan.
- Ensure tasks are completed according to set requirements and standards.
Requirements
- Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate.
- Code 08 (B) Drivers Licence.
- Operative Course Certificate advantageous.
- 3 months practical trade-related experience in a heavy industrial/ mining/ plant environment advantageous.
