Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Lonehill Manor Retirement Estate. This is a day duty position from Monday to Friday, with standby responsibilities for emergency situations. On-site accommodation is provided. The ideal candidate will have shift leader experience, a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to resident needs. What to Expect: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely Maintain detailed, up-to-date records of resident care, medication, and treatment plans Respond promptly to emergency situations while on standby, providing appropriate intervention and support Assess and monitor residents overall health and well-being, identifying any changes and taking appropriate action Provide holistic, person-centred nursing care tailored to individual resident needs Supervise and support caregiving staff in their duties, ensuring standards of care are met Communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care Manage and maintain medical supplies and equipment, including control and documentation of scheduled drugs Provide regular updates to the facility manager regarding residents conditions and concerns What You’ll Bring: Minimum Requirements Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse At least 5 to 10 years of nursing experience, with previous shift leader or supervisory responsibilities preferred Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in chronic disease management Experience in geriatric nursing or working in a retirement or frail care setting is an advantage Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team High level of integrity, accountability, and critical thinking
