Our Towing and Roadside Assistance company based in Johannesburg is looking to hire an experienced Tata Mechanic to join our team. Requirements are as follows:Inspect, diagnose, and repair towing (4 ton Tata trucks) and roadside assist vehicles Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, clutch, gearbox, etc.)Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic issuesRepair and maintain towing equipment (winches, chains, hydraulic arms, flatbeds)Conduct pre-service and post-service vehicle inspectionsRespond to roadside breakdowns when requiredEnsure vehicles comply with safety and roadworthiness standardsWork additional hours as required by the company and be available on standby for emergency callouts.Minimum RequirementsProven experience as a TATA vehicle mechanicStrong knowledge of diesel enginesAbility to diagnose mechanical and electrical faultsExperience with heavy-duty or commercial vehicles preferredAbility to work independently and under pressureValid Code 10 licenceDiesel mechanic qualificationPlease send a concise CV and note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
