Hire Resolves client in the manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Buyer in Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and equipment.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials are available as per production schedules.
• Ensure that all purchased materials meet required industry standards, specifications, and compliance regulations.
• Stay updated on market trends, material availability, and potential risks affecting the supply chain.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Track spending, analyse cost-saving opportunities, and prepare reports for management.
• Monitor supplier performance based on delivery timelines, quality, and service levels.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, preferably in electrical manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
