Job Summary
This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of the business, where finance meets operations. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for providing strategic insights, driving efficiencies, and supporting decision-making to enhance business performance. This is a hands-on role that requires a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys influencing commercial outcomes at both operational and executive levels.
Other duties include:
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Analysing variances, profitability, and return on investment to support decision-making
- Partnering with operations and senior executives to drive efficiencies and margins
- Evaluating contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms to optimise profitability
- Presenting financial and commercial insights at board and executive level
- Supporting strategic projects including new business initiatives, expansions, and capital investments
Education:
- Qualified CA(SA) or CIMA
Job Experience & Skills required:
- At least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in a commercial finance role
- Proven experience partnering with operations in a complex, fast-moving business
- Strong financial modelling, analysis, and strategic planning skills
- Exposure to evaluating contracts, pricing, and investment opportunities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A proactive, solutions-driven individual with strong business acumen
