Midrand: Financial Accountant CA(SA)

Job Purpose We are seeking a newly qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) to join our finance team. The role will focus on financial reporting, general ledger management, and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with statutory and reporting requirements. Key Duties & Responsibilities Perform monthly account reconciliations (balance sheet and income statement) Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist with statutory reporting, audits, and year-end processes Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and company policies Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function Minimum Requirements Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) Registered with SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) Completed articles at a SAICA-accredited training office Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles Solid experience in account reconciliations and general ledger management Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Good time management and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Pastel, CaseWare – advantageous) Ability to work independently and within a team Ideal Candidate Profile Eager to grow within a professional finance environment Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability Ethical, reliable, and deadline-focused Please consider your application unsuccessful should you not receive feedback within 2 weeks of applying.
