Job Summary
- Carries out effective planning to ensure availability of parts at all times.
- Ensures turnover profitability through credit control and improved customer service expertise.
- Asset stock management through monitoring stock levels and stock days.
- Initiates and develops plans to improve sales turnovers and ensures adherence to plans and budgets.
- Responsible for preparation of accurate parts national budgets, managing expenses as well as achieving margins on product sales
- Develops teams growth initiatives (game plans).
- Develops performance management system targets for the team and ensure timely execution and reviews are carries out.
- Develops team competency development plans and ensures competence assessments and timely reviews are carried out.
- Plans and coordinates technical parts training and ensures effective delivery to staff in compliance to company standards.
- Adheres to project guidelines to ensure timely project completion and effective communication of progress to departmental members and management.
- Reviews and reports on market/competitor and pricing information in a timely manner.
- Oversees and approves all departmental process and functions and ensures adherence to Company guidelines.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internally:
- Management Team: Overall spare parts business performance & management
Externally:
- Customers: For business opportunities & parts marketing.
- Competitors: Market information & government lobbying
- Government: Compliance to regulations
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role
Automotive industry experience
Automotive Manufacturer (OEM) experience in a parts environment
Warehouse management knowledge
At least 3 years’ experience at managerial level in the motor industry
Good knowledge and experience in supply chain management
