About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain management department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring functional teams to deliver high-quality implementation projects. Your expertise in SAP EWM functional configuration and process knowledge will be invaluable in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor functional teams to carry out implementation tasks
• Coordinate internal/external teams to deliver implementation projects
• Scope and analyse end user authorisation roles and support security testing (unit, integration, system integration)
• Collaborate with DevOps teams in Agile/DevOps environments (Scrum) and familiarise yourself with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and test tooling (e.g., Tosca, Xray)
• Work closely with technical teams to liaise effectively
• Develop and implement test automation applied to SAP development/test cycles

Requirements

• Expert-level SAP EWM functional configuration and process knowledge
• Experience with SAP module configuration (EWM/WM/MM/SD/PP/LE) and updating/maintaining SAP functional documentation
• Ability to lead and mentor teams and coordinate internal/external teams
• Proven ability to scope and analyse end user authorisation roles and support security testing
• Familiarity with integrations between SAP and non-SAP solutions (iDocs, XML message formats)
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments (Scrum) and collaborating with DevOps teams

Qualifications

• IT degree or equivalent qualifications with extensive SAP practical system experience (typically 4–6+ years)
• 8+ years industry working experience in Logistics (WM and EWM)
• Proven track record of working in SAP projects and supporting implementations from requirements through to go live and support
• Strong experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies and tools (Scrum, JIRA and Confluence)
