About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor to join our team in Midrand, responsible for overseeing loan origination and processing, ensuring accurate application processes, and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement loan origination strategies with lending team
- Assist team to conduct the application process accurately, within reasonable timelines and according to approved processes
- Lead more complex transactions
- Review and recommend funding applications in a timely manner, communicating any deviations, key risks and mitigants
- Oversee legal agreements and conditions precedent
- Review and recommend all disbursements
- Maintain records of loan applications
- Monitor and Collections Actively monitor loans after disbursement according to guidelines and policies
- Oversee adjustments/extensions and other post investment support
- Oversee collections and implement collection activities timeously
- Lead recoveries through internal and external resources (debt collectors)
- Minimise impairments and bad debts
- Maintain excellent client relationships and satisfaction levels leading to low attrition
- Reporting & Compliance Weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual reporting to internal and external stakeholders on lending activities
- Ensure compliance to applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
- Relevant degree or diploma
- 5 years credit experience, ideally in lending
- Analytical skills and attention to details
- Problem-solving capabilities and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general lending/credit tools
- Sound credit judgement
- Ability to understand the risk return trade-off and come up with well thought-out solutions to mitigate credit risk
