About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Capital Accountant to join our team at Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) in Mokopane. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of IFRS, experience managing fixed asset registers, and a proven ability to translate operational data into financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fixed asset registers in capital-intensive environments
- Oversee assets under construction (CWIP), capitalisation processes, and component accounting
- Engage with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams in operational environments
- Work within ERP environments and Capital Asset Management (CAM) systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent)
- Develop advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities
- Provide exposure to audit engagements involving large PPE balances
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification
- 3 to 5 years post-articles experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Strong technical knowledge of IAS 16 (Property, Plant and Equipment), IAS 36 (Impairment of Assets) and related standards
Qualifications
- Grade 12/ Matric or equivalent (Maths & Physical Science NOT mandatory)
