About the Role
Hire Resolve, a renowned FMCG/Food & Beverage organisation based in Montagu, Western Cape, is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end processes, statutory compliance, and supporting operational decision-making within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. If you are a technically strong Financial Accountant with completed articles and a solid understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Manage month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and provisions.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
- Support statutory reporting and tax-related submissions.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Completed BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- SAICA or SAIPA membership (advantageous)
- 25 years post-articles experience in a financial accounting role
- FMCG/Food or manufacturing industry experience is advantageous
