About the Role
As a Centurion: Driver with PDrDP, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across South Africa. You will work closely with our management team to ensure that all company rules and regulations are adhered to, while also maintaining constant communication with our Despatch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle checklist and report any defects to management immediately
- Report any mechanical or other defects detected while driving
- Adhere to all company and traffic rules and regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and safe driving of trucks in line with the Road Traffic Act
- Ensure the safety of goods in transit and deliver at the scheduled destination
- Complete necessary daily paperwork and signatures required on invoices and other documents
- Maintain constant communication with the Despatch Manager regarding traffic issues, customer-related delays
- Take full responsibility for all stock loaded and off-loaded
- Safeguard company assets by ensuring vehicles are locked and secured at each stop
- Execute instructions as directed by the Despatch Manager
- Fill up vehicle with fuel at required fuel stations indicated by the Despatch Manager
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license
- Proof of Driver’s Licence (PDrDP) certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Matric certificate or equivalent
