Mooi River: FARM MAINTENANCE MANAGER

About the Role

The Mooi River Farm Maintenance Manager is a key position responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and maintenance of farm equipment, infrastructure, and systems. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage a team, and implement efficient maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on water pumps, irrigation systems, and other farm equipment
• Fix punctures in tires and perform basic repairs on vehicles
• Maintain and repair irrigation centre pivots and plumbing systems
• Weld and perform general maintenance tasks as required
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• Relevant certificates (e.g. mechanical or electrical certifications)
• Minimum of 3 years previous farm maintenance experience
• Proven experience in maintaining water pumps, fixing punctures, irrigation centre pivots, plumbing systems, and performing general maintenance tasks
• Ability to speak Zulu or Xhosa is advantageous
