Job Description

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Credit Manager within the Financial Services Department in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga. Job Summary This role involves overseeing credit risk management, ensuring timely debt collection, leading a team of Credit Relationship Managers, and maintaining strong client relationships while safeguarding the financial interests of the company. It requires a deep understanding of credit principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex issues under pressure. Responsibilities and Duties Lead and mentor the Credit Relationship Management team, ensuring strategic objectives and performance excellence Evaluate and manage credit risks across the portfolio Oversee the entire credit approval process, ensuring adherence to company policies and reduction of non-performing loans Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored credit solutions Foster and maintain strong client relationships to support cross-selling and upselling opportunities Develop and implement strategies to minimise bad debt Recommend debt restructuring or account handover while maintaining regulatory compliance and customer relationships Lead the review, development, and implementation of credit policies and processes Ensure credit processes align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior management Represent TWK Agri at Credit Bureau meetings and industry forums Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, clients, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery Qualifications and Skills Matric / Grade 12 Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field Honours degree in Finance, Accounting or related field MBA or relevant professional certification (advantageous) 810 years of proven experience in credit risk management with senior leadership experience (advantageous) Strong expertise in managing large credit facilities, ideally within the agricultural sector Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing credit sales strategies Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience working across diverse stakeholder groups High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strategic thinker able to align credit management with company goals Effective decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations Drivers license (Code 08) and willingness to travel Take the next step in your career with TWK Agri, a trusted leader in agriculture and beyond. *The company can expire job adverts at any time at their own discretion.
