About the Role
The Mpumalanga Field Support Technician – Safety & Security Solutions role requires a skilled individual to provide technical support for safety and security solutions in the Burgersfort, Steelport, and Lydenburg areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing excellent customer support, and working extended hours as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to safety and security solutions
- Provide expert-level customer support and assistance
- Conduct site visits and on-site maintenance as required
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Work extended hours, including standby periods, as required
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience
- Networking experience
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- Helpdesk and customer support experience
- Ability to work extended hours and standby when required
- Medically fit to work on mining sites
Qualifications
- Mining Competency (advantageous)
- Electronics or PC hardware experience and/or certifications (advantageous)
