Job Description
- Conduct regular client visits to promote and sell slurry pumps and related parts to mining operations.
- Consistently achieve monthly sales targets.
- Work to secure vendor approvals with end users and maintain strong ongoing customer relationships.
- Oversee and support a team responsible for pump repairs and parts exchange.
- Provide quarterly forecasts and detailed sales summaries for each customer to identify new opportunities.
- Make recommendations on pricing and stock levels based on customer insights and market conditions.
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- Established relationships or connections with mines/end users.
- Solid technical background in slurry pumps.
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred but not a requirement. Experience is more important.
- Strong expertise in slurry pump selection, including replacement solutions.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in slurry pump sales to end users (e.g., exposure to major slurry pump brands).
