Hire Resolves client in the Healthcare industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Theatre Scrub/Recovery Nurse in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating theatre environment.
• Scrub in and assist the surgical team.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs during surgery.
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols.
• Provide post-operative patient care in recovery.
• Assess and manage patient pain levels.
• Educate patients and families on discharge care.
• Document patient care accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Act as a patient advocate.
• Maintain current knowledge of surgical practices.
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period.

Requirements:

• Nursing degree/diploma
• Registered Nurse (RN) with current and valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Proven experience as a Scrub Nurse and Recovery Nurse in a busy operating theatre environment in South Africa.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and post-operative care principles.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
