About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Quality Assessor – North to join our team in Nelspruit, South Africa. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our citrus exports meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assessments on citrus produce prior to export
- Develop and implement quality control plans for agricultural produce export requirements
- Provide training on food safety and quality management to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure compliance with phytosanitary protocols
- Maintain knowledge of post-harvest disorder, development, and prevention techniques
- Analyze supply chain and cold chain management processes to optimize fruit quality
- Utilize Dipar or similar QC platforms to track and manage export handling chains
Requirements
- Grade 12 Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Quality Control or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in exporting citrus
- Qualification in Food Safety and Quality Management
- Training in agricultural produce export requirements (including fruit quality and special market phytosanitary protocols)
