About the Role
A Junior Receiving Clerk position is available at a large retail/supermarket operation in Newcastle (Northern KZN trade area). We are seeking a junior-level candidate with basic receiving, stock-handling or retail back-of-house experience who is eager to grow within a structured retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking incoming stock deliveries
- Verifying quantities, quality and delivery documentation
- Assisting with offloading of goods (manual handling required)
- Reporting shortages, damages or discrepancies
- Capturing delivery information accurately
- Ensuring stock is moved to designated storage areas
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in receiving areas
- Adhering to health, safety and security procedures
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) level education
- Previous retail / warehouse / receiving exposure (advantageous)
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Physically fit and reliable
