Growing distributor and DIY retailer, looking to employ a hands on, detail orientated Assistant Accountant. Responsible for all of the business financial and operational systems and controls. Responsibilities Maintain filing of supplier invoices Review invoice approvals and accounts entries Compile monthly supplier recons for payment process Post discounts and settlement journals Resolve supplier queries and process returns Reconcile credit card control accounts Reconcile seller account transactions Reconcile bank accounts and debtors payments Issue month end statements and follow up on overdue payments Put together and verify electronic time sheets Prepare monthly payroll, including loan deductions, advances, and related entries Reconcile Amazon transactions and returns Liaise with Takealot, investigate and invoice missing stock Oversee monthly stock takes Resolve stock discrepancies Implement financial and operational systems Increase efficiency and minimize stock shrinkage Requirements: Proficient in Xero Accounting Software , Microsoft Excel , and Google Sheets High attention to detail and analytical skills Experience with e-commerce platforms (i.e.Amazon, Takealot) Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting principles Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
