About the Role
SanoMed ZA Primary Health Care Inc. is seeking a Medical Doctor to join their practice as an Independent Medical Contractor, providing family medicine and primary health care services while operating independently within the practice’s facilities and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ethical, evidence-based primary health care services
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Perform minor procedures within scope of competence
- Issue prescriptions, referral letters, and medical certificates
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records
- Ensure all services comply with HPCSA standards and guidelines
- Manage patient billing where applicable
Requirements
- Registered with the HPCSA
- Maintain professional indemnity insurance appropriate to services rendered
- Responsible for own tax and statutory obligations
Qualifications
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
