About the Role
SanoMed ZA Primary Health Care Inc. is seeking a Medical Doctor to join the practice as an Independent Medical Contractor, providing family medicine and primary health care services while operating independently within our facilities and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ethical, evidence-based primary health care services
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Perform minor procedures within scope of competence
- Issue prescriptions, referral letters, and medical certificates
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records
- Ensure all services comply with HPCSA standards and guidelines
- Manage patient billing where applicable
Requirements
- Registered with the HPCSA
- Maintain professional indemnity insurance appropriate to services rendered
- Responsible for own tax and statutory obligations
Qualifications
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBChB or equivalent)
