About the Role

As an Animal Nutritionist at our esteemed organization, you will be responsible for creating and refining feed formulas to maximize cost-effectiveness while meeting nutritional requirements for various animal species. You will work closely with production teams, salespeople, and consumers to provide dietary advice and investigate nutrition-related problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and refine feed formulas for any animal, including dairy, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, pigs, and game.
• Analyze performance data (growth, feed conversion, health outcomes) and carry out nutritional studies as needed.
• Provide dietary advice to consumers, production teams, and salespeople.
• Investigate nutrition-related problems with feeding, health, or performance.
• Verify adherence to national and international feed and food safety laws.
• Encourage raw material and finished feed quality control procedures.
• Introduce new products and internal staff and customer training programs.

Requirements

• Technical competencies in animal nutrition.
• Experience in creating and refining feed formulas for various animal species.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in Afrikaans and English.

Qualifications

• Formal education in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, nutrition, or related).
