Job Summary

Job Summary Act as a link between management and the staff members on site. Ensure a productive workflow by establishing work planning and monitoring staff performance. Responsibilities Staff supervision Advise Site Manager / Contract Manager on staffing needs and replacements Set out daily tasks for staff Recommend shifts and revise schedules if needed Conduct weekly meetings with staff to get weekly feedback SHEQ Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping standards inside and outside the waste area Report all incidents, spills and near misses Ensure that spills are cleaned up Ensure that the staff wear the correct PPE Reports Daily attendance register report Daily shift report Provide a report on all baled material within the different waste streams daily Monthly production (bale count) report Monthly production report for Sorters Production Ensure that all staff work as productively as possible Book daily collections on the collections app Implement and supervise the workflow, reporting procedures and systems Identify cost reductions to increase productivity Coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources Ensure that no load is loaded without the PO number provided by the Site Manager / Contract Manager Monitor and supervise all processes regarding the collection or delivering of material, such as number of bales and value of load Monitor the average weight of all baled material Monitor the weights of the cages collected from sites on a daily basis Report any challenges with collections to the Site Manager / Contract Manager Equipment and maintenance Report breakdowns to the Site Manager / Contract Manager Follow up on repairs to be done on the equipment Ensure that everyone stop using the baler if a technical issue arises No tools or foreign objects must be placed close to the conveyer Ensure that the shift does not start bailing until the baler and conveyer are cleaned according to the checklist Requirements Grade 12 Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience is required Valid drivers license Excellent knowledge of different waste material streams Clear criminal record Employment will be implemented in accordance with the Employment Equity Act. Job Summary

MAIN PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION The main purpose of a site manager is to oversee and manage the operations, activities, and personnel at a specific site or location within an organization. Their role encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the site. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS) Recruitment, Appointment, and Termination Cycle Objective: Manage the complete lifecycle from recruitment to termination. Actions: Ensure all open positions are communicated to recruitment with necessary details (start date, salary, job description, permanent/temporary). Coordinate interview schedules and communicate timely with the recruitment team. Facilitate communication of successful candidates to the recruitment team. Conduct RiseUp induction for new assignees before they start at the client site. Collect and ensure compliance with the Contractor Pack for all assignees. Ensure Fixed Term Contracts (FTCs) and Annexure ‘A’ forms are completed accurately and signed correctly. Ensure completed packs are handed to office administrator for loading. Compulsory to be on site on the day your assignee starts. Ensure induction is completed and contracts are signed prior to the assignee starting at your client. Health, Safety, and Compliance Objective: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and assignee welfare. Actions: Provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to assignees and ensure assignees have signed acceptance. Sign AODs for purposes of tracking PPE and recovering either funds or PPE should employees leave within 12 months. Implement and communicate site-specific rules and ensure adherence. Payroll and Administration Objective: Ensure accurate payroll processing and efficient administrative support. Actions: Capture payroll data on the required template and submit to payroll on time. Ensure clients approves and signs timesheets. Ensure assignees sign timesheets as acknowledgment of hours worked where no biometrics are on site. Adhere to our internal payroll deadline of Tuesday 09.00. Resolve assignee payroll queries within 24 hours Manage documentation such as Acknowledgement of Debts (AODs), sick leave forms, annual leave forms, family responsibility leave forms, resignations, and disciplinaries, ensure these documents are sent to the office administrator for record keeping. Handle disciplinary procedures in line with internal processes (Invictus)and ensure all matters are reported timeously. Ensure payslips are distributed before assignees are paid. Ensure invoices are hand delivered and proof of delivery signed, canned and saved onto the share drive. Manage documentation such as Acknowledgement of Debts (AODs), sick leave forms, annual leave forms, family responsibility leave forms, resignations, and disciplinaries, ensure these documents are sent to the office administrator for record keeping. Handle disciplinary procedures in line with internal processes and ensure all matters are reported timeously. Ensure payslips are distributed before assignees are paid. Ensure invoices are hand delivered and proof of delivery signed, canned and saved onto the share drive. Operational Management Objective: Efficiently manage day-to-day operations and client relations. Actions: Ensure comprehensive end of contract (EOC) process is followed in line with clients requirements. It is your responsibility to find out what your client EOC process is. Provide daily headcount and site activity reports on our internal whatsapp group. Communicate effectively with clients and respond to queries promptly. Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance reviews with employees monthly. Maintain and increase headcount monthly as per Key Performance Areas (KPAs). Engage with clients and staff to ensure productivity goals are met. Attend site management meetings and visit client sites regularly. Ensure monthly management report is sent to your client showing disciplinaries, one on ones and headcount for the month. Assist with rostering staff where necessary Transport management where necessary Attend tool box talk/site meetings Ensure visibility at cliently daily. Ensure excellent service to client and assignees. Ensure absenteeism and late coming is reported to your client by 08.30 AM daily Legal Compliance and Communication Objective: Ensure adherence to employment laws and effective communication. Actions: Understand and apply the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and relevant Bargaining Council regulations. Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted to Head Office before employees start work. Ensure you are communicating any risk identified on site. Ensure site rules are communicated to assignees.
