We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Workshop Manager to lead our operations in Pietermaritzburg. If you have a strong background in steam boilers, pipe fitting, and welding, and are ready to take charge of a busy industrial workshop, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely

• Supervise and manage a team of artisans and technicians

• Plan, schedule and allocate tasks based on project requirements

• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Quality control of all fabrication and repair work

• Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure timely delivery of services

Requirements:

• Proven experience in steam boiler maintenance and repair

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in pipe fitting and welding techniques

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory or management role

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

• Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
