About the Role
A well-established FMCG manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Mould Store Controller to ensure mould availability, reliability, and compliance with production requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong mould maintenance and store control expertise, with a proven track record in managing mould spares, consumables, and tooling inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor mould servicing, including replacement of pins, bushes, O-rings, gaskets, sandblasting, and minor repairs.
- Clean, drain, lubricate, and service moulds after production runs, including vent channel cleaning.
- Ensure correct storage of moulds and timely delivery to and removal from the production floor as per the production plan.
- Manage mould handovers between the mould store and production, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain detailed service, maintenance, and condition records for each mould set.
- Control mould spares, consumables, and tooling inventory related to each mould set.
- Coordinate mould transport, strapping, off-site servicing, and receipt of moulds, ensuring condition checks.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure moulds are cared for and maintained to required standards.
Requirements
N4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering with workshop or toolroom experience. Proven manufacturing maintenance experience. Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in an FMCG or similar production environment. Injection moulding or blow moulding maintenance experience is advantageous.
