Plettenberg Bay: Restaurant General Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to join our team in Plettenberg Bay. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our restaurant, while also providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store operational requirements are met
• Supervise staff and ensure effective communication between staff and management
• Maintain store hygiene, maintenance, health and safety requirements
• Monitor beverage cost, food costs, and stock control to ensure they are within specified ranges
• Be on duty for busy shifts, weekends, and all functions
• Issue reports timeously

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience dealing with high volume in a similar environment is preferable
• Strong leadership ability
• Ability to delegate and manage down effectively
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and process driven
• Ability to interpret statistical information
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management, external customers, and third-party service providers
