About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Mossel Bay on a part-time basis (half day). As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Capture and process financial transactions accurately
- Reconcile bank accounts, creditors, and debtors
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting
- Maintain proper filing and financial record systems
- Liaise with management and external accountants where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping up to trial balance (essential)
- Experience with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with PayProp or similar property management/accounting systems
- Experience in property or rental environment
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
