About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Polokwane, responsible for leading a high-performing kitchen team and ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure discipline is maintained in the department
  • Handle all disciplinary issues in conjunction with the Resident Manager
  • Visit Camps at least twice a week to monitor standards
  • Be on the “floor” on a regular basis to ensure buffets are replenished and looking fresh
  • Draw up leave roster for the staff in your department
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback through performance management
  • Report kitchen equipment faults to the maintenance manager
  • Maintain valid drivers licence and drive at night between camps when required

Requirements

  • Computer literacy
  • Excel skills for stock control, menu costing, and Plus point
  • Training and mentorship experience
  • Staff development programs

  • Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
