About the Role

As a Senior Technician at Bidvest Protea Coin, you will be responsible for maintaining electronic security equipment, developing strong relationships with clients, and ensuring adherence to agreements and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of Electronic Security Equipment;
• Regular communication and development of a good relationship with client;
• Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities;
• Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company;
• Adhering to Health and Safety regulations;
• Feedback to SLA Manager;
• Problem Solving / Project Management of small projects;
• Management and Control of Documentation, including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets;
• Submission of fault reports on the system;
• Revision of Work in Progress reports and the financial implications thereof;
• Available to be on standby if and when required.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• PSIRA certification;
• Sound knowledge/experience and understanding of Access Control and IP surveillance systems, general network knowledge would be advantageous;
• Relevant experience in SQL would be advantageous;
• Relevant knowledge/experience on Milestone;
• Excellent security equipment installation skills;
• Excellent trouble shooting and fault-finding skills;
• Excellent written & verbal communication and skills;
• A good working knowledge of MS Office;
• Valid Driver’s license;
