About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and charismatic Distribution Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Durban. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless order processing, stock management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Take messages from the answering machine, capturing orders onto MFG Pro and creating invoicing accordingly.
- Route invoices onto roadshows to create trip lists.
- Print invoices, pick lists, and customer lists for Drivers from MFG Pro.
- Reconcile the Trip list to the Customer list and address discrepancies as required.
- Reconcile outgoing stock against pick lists.
- Complete back flushing utilizing a Back Flushing Worksheet provided by the Production Team and check the stock in the finished product warehouse.
- Capture new stock items into MFG Pro.
- Complete daily and weekly stock counts in Finished goods and Factory Shop to reconcile figures to MFG Pro.
- Investigate discrepancies, troubleshoot as required, and provide feedback to the Distribution Manager.
- Unlock the site in the mornings.
- Manning the telephones in Distribution until the start of shift at 8am.
- Capture leave for the Drivers and Van Assistants in the team.
- Assisting in the management of resource allocation (Human resources and vehicles) and communicating to affected parties as required (direct).
- Assisting team members with daily planning.
- Utilising driver debriefing feedback to address concerns in the trade and or discrepancies brought forward.
- Participating in knowledge-sharing and problem-solving one-on-one sessions with team members as required.
Requirements
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- 2 years of experience in a similar FMCG sales environment
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12
- Tertiary qualifications an added advantage
