About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Fitter & Turner/Millwright to join our team at PAR EXCELLANCE in Polokwane. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our food factory’s equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe/clean work environment and adhere to safety SOPs/regulations
• Perform mechanical repairs on filler equipment/pumps/motors/conveyors
• Repair/replace defective parts/components
• Conduct routine inspections of production lines/equipment
• Identify/trouble-shoot issues and perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose/troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide solutions
• Report work/breakdowns through systems and conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

• Qualifications: Fitter & Turner/Millwright certification
• Experience: 3+ years of post-trade test experience in maintenance/repairs in a food factory and workshop
• Skills: Strong mechanical skills, ability to read/interpret technical manuals/schematics, manufacture parts on a lathe & milling machine from drawings
• Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
