About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Field Guide to join our luxury safari lodge in Pongola. As a Field Guide, you will have the opportunity to deliver unforgettable safari experiences to guests in a high-end lodge environment. If you’re a knowledgeable guide with a love for wildlife and conservation, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct guided game drives and walking safaris for guests
- Share knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation
- Ensure guest safety and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Monitor and track wildlife sightings and lodge trails
- Support the lodge team in daily operations as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Field Guide, preferably in a luxury lodge environment
- Relevant qualifications (FGASA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of wildlife, conservation, and bushveld etiquette
- Ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours
Qualifications
- FGASA qualification or equivalent
Salary & Benefits
R7,500 to R10,000 per annum
