About the Role

The Logistics Assistant role supports the Logistics Manager at Bushwise, assisting with daily operational logistics to ensure smooth and efficient guest and operational movement. This junior role focuses on managing guest transfers, coordinating vehicles for activities, and supporting back-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate guest transfers to and from the lodge, airstrips, and external activity locations.
  • Manage vehicle schedules to ensure availability for guest activities, staff transport, and operational needs.
  • Assist with vehicle allocation and ensure vehicles are prepared and ready for use.
  • Maintain communication with guides, drivers, and operational teams regarding transfer schedules and changes.
  • Assist with coordinating logistics for guest activities and excursions.
  • Support the Logistics Manager with general lodge operational coordination.
  • Assist with security oversight by monitoring access points and reporting any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of transfers, vehicle usage, and operational logistics.
  • Assist with back-of-house coordination between departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support problem-solving for any logistical challenges that may arise during daily lodge operations.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in Tourism, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, lodge operations, or logistics coordination is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and coordination ability.
  • Basic computer literacy and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver’s licence preferred.
