About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Lodge Logistics Coordinator to join our luxury safari lodge in Pongola, Kwa-Zulu Natal. As a live-in role, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in remote environments and understands the rhythms of lodge operations. You will be central to ensuring seamless logistical support across departments, enabling exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of lodge supplies across all departments
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock takes, manage variances, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Liaise with approved suppliers, drivers, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
- Support kitchen and housekeeping logistics to maintain consistent luxury service and presentation standards
- Assist management with daily operational planning, reporting, and logistical problem-solving
- Maintain vehicle usage records and assist with fuel, supply, and transport planning where required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and lodge operational procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a lodge, hospitality, or logistics coordination role is essential
- Strong organisational, time-management, and written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail under pressure
- Ability to work independently in a remote, live-in environment with limited supervision
- Proficiency in basic administrative systems, stock control, and reporting tools
