About the Role
We are seeking a management couple to join our client’s Wildlife Game Reserve in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape, as part of their Deluxe 5 Star Lodge team. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the reserve and lodge operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the wildlife game reserve and lodge operations
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences at the lodge
- Contribute to the overall success of the business
Requirements
- Reserve Manager:
- Matric
- Tertiary Diploma (or related qualification) in Conservation Management, Eco/Wildlife Management or similar
- Field/Trails guiding experience
- Proven Safari/Game reserve management experience
- Maintenance management skills (vehicles, roads, drainage, and fences)
- Anti-poaching experience
- Game count and feeding experience as required
- Lodge Anchor/Executive Housekeeper:
- Matric
- Hospitality/Hotel Management diploma (preferred)
- Proven experience in managing, training, cost control, and strong administrative skills
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience in supervising employees
- Lateral thinking ability
- Initiative
- Ability to cope under pressure to meet guest needs
Qualifications
- No formal qualifications are required for this role.
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary will be discussed during interviews, with a negotiable offer for the couple. The salary may be reduced temporarily due to COVID conditions, but it will be amended later when the lodge is back on track.
