About the Role
Hire Power is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate financial reports, managing cash books, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain and deliver accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance and timely completion
- Compile and issue proof of payments for processed transactions
- Review and authorise payments with attention to accuracy and documentation
- Manage cash books, commissions, and payment allocations meticulously
- Handle queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate and a Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with Accounting, essential
- Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and MS 365
- 1-2 Years of experience in a similar financial role
- Strong understanding of financial controls and principles
Qualifications
Advanced Diploma: Accounting, BCom (Accounting)
Salary & Benefits
FTC runs until 30 June 2026. Working Hours: Monday to Friday. 08h00 to 16h30. 100% On-site.
