Job Description

FUNCTIONAL DEFINITION AND RESPONSIBILITY The IT Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and applications that support the company’s market research, data analysis, and insights delivery. The role ensures efficient, secure, and scalable solutions to enable accurate data processing and reporting, while also providing technical support to business stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: Development and Systems Support: Design, code, test, and maintain applications and tools to automate and optimise research workflows. Develop and maintain system integrations between data collection platforms, CRM, and analytics tools. Build and support databases, ensuring high levels of data accuracy, availability, and performance. Develop and manage ETL processes for data collection, transformation, and loading. Data and Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with research and insights teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Optimise platforms and processes for handling large datasets securely and efficiently. Develop reporting tools and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making across the business. IT Infrastructure and Security: Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance. Implement and uphold IT security policies and procedures to protect company and client data. Provide second and third-line technical support, escalating issues as required. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and innovation in systems and processes. Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and technical architecture. Contribute to IT and business-wide continuous improvement initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in IT development and support, preferably in data-driven or research-intensive industries. Proven experience developing tools or systems that enable data analysis and reporting. Experience with market research platforms and methodologies (advantageous). TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C#, VB.NET, Java, or equivalent). Advanced SQL skills for database management and reporting. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent). Knowledge of APIs and systems integration. Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric advantageous. CORE COPETENCIES: Capacity to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
