Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all theatre unit functions to ensure clinical excellence and efficient resource utilisation. Drive strategic objectives related to patient care, team development, and operational growth. Lead and support clinical staff within the theatre to maintain high standards of practice.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Nursing with approximately 5 years of post-basic experience, including a proven track record in leadership and people management within healthcare. Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science (essential). Postgraduate qualification in Management or Nursing Education (advantageous). Minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified Theatre Registered Nurse. Active registration with the South African Nursing Council. Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial management, and change management principles. Proficient in MS Office. Valid drivers licence and reliable transport.
