About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Credit Professional with a unique blend of technical collection expertise and high emotional intelligence to join our team as a Credit Facilitator (Team Lead) in Johannesburg North. This is not a standard collections role; it requires a leader who can effectively manage credit functions while maintaining exceptional relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively perform full-function credit facilitation and collections.
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and initiate appropriate collection actions.
- Manage complex debt negotiations while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Ensure all collection activities adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.
Requirements
- Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Credit Collections.
- 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead or supervisory capacity.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Credit Management, or a related field.
Language & Communication
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Fluency in multiple African languages is required to effectively support a diverse client base.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
