About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Credit Professional with a unique blend of technical collection expertise and high emotional intelligence to join our team as a Credit Facilitator (Team Lead) in Johannesburg North. As a leader, you will effectively manage credit functions while maintaining exceptional relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively perform full-function credit facilitation and collections.
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and initiate appropriate collection actions.
- Manage complex debt negotiations while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Ensure all collection activities adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide direct leadership and guidance to a team of credit staff.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on performance and professional growth.
- Handle escalated conflicts and provide resolutions that balance business needs with client retention.
- Act as a key liaison between the organization and various stakeholders.
- Utilize high EQ to navigate difficult conversations and resolve disputes.
- Promote a culture of excellent service and effective communication across the credit department.
Requirements
- Experience in Credit Collections (5+ years)
- Experience in a Team Lead or supervisory capacity (2+ years)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Credit Management, or a related field
Qualifications
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Fluency in multiple African languages is required to effectively support a diverse client base.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Up to R32,000 CTC (Dependent on experience and qualifications)
