About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects within the food or milling environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects within the food or milling environment
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and external suppliers
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of equipment
- Identify process improvements and implement cost-effective solutions
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation
Requirements
- BTech / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
- 34 years experience in the food processing or milling industry
- Strong knowledge of plant processes, equipment, and systems
- Experience with project management and coordination
- Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
