About the Role
The Investigator role in Rustenburg requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to conduct thorough investigations of crime incidents, handle informers and intelligence, and ensure compliance with court procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigation of crime incidents
- Handling of informers and intelligence
- Ensuring fulfillment of court procedures
- Liaising with HR department concerning disciplinary enquiries
- Liaising with client/SAPS/Court officials
- Inspection of dockets according to brought forward system
- Administration of online intelligence and crime irregularities and crime incidents
- Compliance with the MHS Act
- Filling of admin documents and keeping registers
Requirements
- PSIRA certification Grade A
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical and Critical Thinking skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- High methodical working methods are required
- Attention to details
- Ability to liaise professionally with management and personnel at all levels
- Ability to work without supervision and under pressure
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in investigating incidents (criminals as well as departmental)
- Security knowledge and advantage
- A working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- SAPS, Defence force, and NIA experience will be an advantage
- Firearm competency
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record
