About the Role
A respected consulting environment operating within the public sector is seeking an experienced Accountant to support municipal and government-focused projects. This role is ideal for a technically sound Accountant who enjoys working close to delivery, compliance, and real-world implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial reporting and reconciliations within a public sector environment
- Application of GRAP standards and PFMA requirements
- Supporting municipal finance functions and compliance deliverables
- Assisting with audits, reporting packs, and statutory submissions
- Working closely with project teams and stakeholders on-site
Requirements
- Completed Accounting degree
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles
- Registered or eligible to register with a professional accounting body
- 35 years of accounting experience
- Solid exposure to GRAP, PFMA, municipal or government finance
- Willingness to travel as required by project work
